Centrifuge

The centrifuge is used to separate a solid from a solution quickly.

A centrifuge is used for small-scale separations; typically the volume is less
than 5 ml. Larger volumes of mixtures can be separated by filtration.

A centrifuge commonly found in a General Chemistry Laboratory.
